How To Get Lummox Moshling

There’s much speculation when Lummox appeared in the Moshling Zoo at the same time that Betty Vanished. Especially as we were expecting a one-time use code for Betty to be given away with some Moshi Merchandise.

When you find out how to get Lummox, it only adds to the mystery. It’s almost as if they decided not to give Betty away at the last minute and replaced her with Lummox.

“I got Lummox from a code from getting the moshi mall set. The strange thing was when I put the code in it gave me Alpine Pinkerbell seeds and I thought at last i was going to get Betty but instead Lummox turned up!! You can see him in my zoo.”

The Alpine Pinkerbell seed was exactly the same seed we thought would get you Betty!

The Moshi Monsters Moshling Mall playset is a staggering £50 from Argos or £40 from Amazon. I can’t see too many people getting Lummox in their Zoo at that price.

How To Get Zack Binspin

Zack Binspin is certainly one of the most popular characters in Monstro City and we are often asked “How do you get Zack Binspin?”

Zack Binspin is an Ultra Rare Moshling (number 107) in the RoxStars set along with Bobbi SingSong and the also unreleased Hoolio.

Apparently he lives in a Trashcan in Brashcan Alley.

Zack’s Appearances

Zach Binspin has appeared in a number of Super Moshi Missions:

Season 2 – Close Encounters of the Zoshi Kind

In this mission we bump into Zack Binspin at Simon Growl’s Mansion. We have to talk to Zack and convince him we’re one of his true fans so that he’ll give us the screw we need to fix the plane that we need to take us to Music Island!

Season 2 – Sandy Drain Shenanigans

Once we get to Music Island, who do we find at the Sandy Drain hotel? It’s none other than Zack Binspin!

After getting Zack’s autograph we find out what his combination for the safety deposit box is, and get the Spa 1 keycard!

We find that Zack Binspin is in a spot of bother in Spa 1. His hair is growing out of control and we have to use the Moshling ROFL to cut it!

Season 3 – The Googenheist

During the Googenheist mission, we find Zack Binspin hanging out, yet again, with the music mogul Simon Growl in his mansion. Zack only plays a minor role in this mission, just commenting that a Statue of Simon Growl is “almost as shiny as my hair!”

……….

Zack Binspin hasn’t appeared as a collectable Moshling in your moshling Zoo yet. So, at the moment he’s not a Moshling you can get.

There are rumous that Zack Binspin will be available as a Moshling in the upcoming Super-Moshi Mission Moptop Mischeif.

A word of caution though – Zack has appeared in Super Moshi Missions before, but never as a collectable Moshling.

Zack Binspin doesn’t appear on the Moshi Monsters website moshlings.com either.

How To Get Oddie

It’s fair to say that Oddie is one of the more popular Moshlings, and as he only needs Star Blossom’s anyone can catch him, even if you’re not a member.

Unfortunately he’s also deceptively difficult to catch. If you’ve tried to catch him, then you’ll know just how hard and frustrating it is!

Why is it so hard to get Oddie

The problem is that you need to grow all three Star Blossom’s in exactly the right colours. Get them in the wrong colour combination and you’ll attract Snookums.

“How do I catch Oddie” is one of the most common questions that get asked, so here’s the best way we’ve found to get Oddie. It won’t work every time, but it’ll improve your chances.

Oddie’s Seed Combination

To get Oddie you’ll need the following flower combination:

  • Star Blossom (Purple)
  • Star Blossom (Black)
  • Star Blossom (Yellow)

As he’s an Ultra-Rare Moshling, you’ll need to make sure each of the flowers is the correct colour. But that doesn’t sound too bad does it. It should just be a case of re-planting Star Blossom’s until you get the colour combination you need just like you have to do for other Ultra Rare Moshlings.

Unfortunately it’s not that easy. Any this is the bit that causes all the frustration!

Snookum’s combination is any three Star Blossoms.

So every time you try to get Oddie and get the wrong colours you’ll end up attracting Snookums to your Moshling Garden and have to start by planting all three flowers again.

How to make getting Oddie easier.

If you plant three Star Blossoms then your chance of getting the flowers to grow in the correct colours to attract Oddie is a minuscule 0.4%! Whoah!

There is a way to improve your chances!

Moshi Monsters Adopt

The trick to getting Oddie, is to only plant two Star Blossoms. Keep digging them up and re-planting them until you get two star blossoms in any of the colours you need to get Oddie.

(Remember, the flowers don’t need to be in the correct order, just the right plant type and the right colour.)

Once you’ve got that, then it’s time to cross your fingers and plant the third Star Blossom and hope that’ll it’ll come up in the last colour your need.

Although, the chances of this happening are 1 in 6 or 16.6% (there are 6 colours in total) so expect to go through this process a few times until you get the elusive Moshling!

Have you got Oddie? How long did it take you? And who’s got the most Snookum’s in their Zoo? Let us know in the comments!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ UP THERE!!! That’s the code!!
Boomer is an uncommon Moshling, and one of the Noisies set.

Boomer first appeared at the beginning of August 2012. (along with Pip and Furnando)

It seemed as if Boomer was released as a tie in with the Moshi Monsters events at Chessington World of Adventures at which codes for Boomer were given out.

There were two codes issues:

  • A8XY3CA
  • VK8Y37D

Please note: These codes no longer work. They have expired

When you entered these codes you got a Shrillberry Seed, which when planted in your Moshling Garden with any two other seeds would attract Boomer.

The other way people have been able to add Boomer to their Moshling Zoo is by hatching him from a Golden Egg.

Boomer could be hatched from the second golden egg that was found on Main Street.

So how do I get boomer now?

Boomer is currently “unavailable” as fas as we can tell. There’s no known (working) code or flower combination that will get you Boomer.

Moshlings.com shows Boomer with a “Locked” seed combination.

If you spot Boomer anywhere, or know how you can get him then do let us know!

If you’re a Moshi Monsters member you’ll notice that there’s a new slot in your Moshling Zoo under the Mythies set for a new moshling called Shambles. Unfortunately Shambles is yet another moshling that you’ll need to purchase Moshi merchandise to get…

Get Shambles with Moshi Mash-Ups!

There’s a new range of Moshi Mash-Up trading cards from Topps. This new edition is called “Code Breakers” and there’s a special Shambles code card hidden inside “lucky packets!”

The code will give you a Scrappy Shrub seed which you’ll find in your pouch when you go into your garden. (You won’t find it in the chest in your room!)

Plant the Scrappy Shrub with any other two seeds and when you check back once your seeds have grown you’ll see they’ve attracted Shambles so you can add him to your Zoo.

What is the code for Shambles.

I’m afraid that the code for Shambles is likely to be one-time use code. Once the code has been entered it won’t work again so you won’t be able to share it with your friends and it wouldn’t be any good posting these codes .

Sorry!

A huge thanks to Hannah for the tip-off! Go visit her monster’s room:http://www.moshime.com/Chloecocoa978.

Here’s another mystery moshling that’s appeared in the zoo along with Pip, but so far will little explanation as to how to get him.

He’s not in the Ultimate Moshling Collectors guide either, but I think Furnando could be the blue Jeepers we’ve met in the Welcome To Jollywood Super Moshi mission.

So far the only information I’ve been able to find is that Furnando is possibly an exclusive Moshling that you’ll get with the upcoming Moshlings Theme Park DS/3DS game just like Nipper included with Moshling Zoo.

Acording to one product listing on a site that sells games (EB Games). The Limited Edition version of Moshlings Theme Park includes the following:

  • 1,000 Rox – (In-game currency)
  • Exclusive NEW Moshling in-game item Furnando
  • Moshi Monsters Trading Card (TOPPS) “Furnando”
  • 7 days membership to MoshiMonsters.com

The same product on Amazon doesn’t mention the name of the moshling so it makes you wonder if EBGames let slip something they shouldn’t.

There’s some confusion here though, as there’s a lot of chatter around that the Moshling included with the game will be the so far unreleased moshling “Judder”.

It’s not been released yet so we don’t know for sure, but all the evidence is certainly pointing towards the DS/3DS game as the only way to get the moshling.

Pip is a new “Top Secret” exclusive moshling who’s empty slot in appeared in the everyone’s moshling zoo at the beginning of August 2012.

It appears that just like Nipper which comes in with the DS Moshling Zoo game, this is a moshling that you’ll only get by buying Moshi Monsters merchandise.

In this case it appears that you’ll get Pip in a a “Moshling Playset” although which playset(s) this might be are unclear. Included in the playset is a unique one-time use code. (If you’ve purchased a playset and got Nip then let us know which one!)

Update: The playset in question is the “Moshi Monsters My Moshi Home Playset”. You can find it on sale in Argos and Amazon for £39.99. Seems very expensive when you see what you get.

Moshi Monsters Doris 2017

The product description mentions: “Also features a secret code for a limited edition Moshling on-line.”

This is rather frustrating for anyone who can’t afford or just doesn’t want to by the playset and while I can understand that offering to make your playset more appealing, it doesn’t feel terribly fair. Why bother to start collecting moshlings if you know you’ll never get them all…

Let me know what you think, or if you’ve got Pip…
